Have you ever heard the saying "The Customer is Always Right?" This applies to restaurants as well as any other consumer store. If you want something a specific way-- don't be afraid to ask for it. Most places will likely be more than happy to accommodate you.
When dining out, I make sure that I review the menu thoroughly and look for the best option. If they don't have a lot of LCHF choices, then you can always ask them to help make it LCHF. You are a paying customer, and they are most going to be willing to help you (especially the waiters or waitresses, as they are looking for that nice big tip for being so accommodating.)
For those of you that know me well, you know that Mom and I go out for Mexican almost every Friday night. We have our little restaurant La Uni-ca where everyone knows us. (Norm!) Mexican food is not very LCHF friendly in general. The good news is you can easily make it so with just some tweaking.
Steak Fajitas are one of my favorite Mexican dishes. Before I changed my lifestyle I was all about the flour tortillas and rice & beans!!!
Now, it's a steak fajita salad-- hold the beans and fried tortilla shell. Still as flavor filled, just less carbs!
How do you low-carb your dining out meals? Would love to hear your feedback,
Go fourth, and low-carb your next meal out!
